Michael Lee

Mr. Michael Lee was born in Mauritius. Mrs. Lilian Lee was originally from Guongdong Province, China. Michael and Lilian met when they were students in London England. In 1968 the family moved to Hamilton, Ontario. Six weeks after arriving in Canada they were both employed as teachers at the Essex District High School. Michael Lee taught Science and Lilian Lee taught Business. Lilian also taught at Belle River High School and later at Harrow High School.Lilian Lee was president of the Essex County Chinese Canadian Association and was on the Board of Directors for many years. Lilian has contributed greatly to the welfare of the Chinese community.
