Stephen Hong Tsui

Mr. Stephen Hong Tsui spent most of his younger days in Macau and Hong Kong. He received his training in Civil Engineering in Hong Kong and graduated with a B. Sc. (Eng) from Chu Hai University in 1966. He came to Canada in 1967 and attended McGill University to upgrade his academic qualifications and received a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering from Carleton University in 1971.
Upon graduation, Stephen accepted a structural engineer position with La Fontaine, Cowie, Buratto & Associates Limited, a well-established engineering consulting firm in Windsor. He was appointed as a Senior Partner of La Fontaine firm in 1989. La Fontaine firm was merged with Stantec Consulting, one of the largest engineering firms in Canada, in 1998 and Stephen became the Principal Manager of the Windsor office in 2001.
Stephen has been engaged by the University of Windsor to teach a course in Planning and Construction Management since 1982. He became an Adjunct Professor of the Faculty of Engineering in 2006.
Stephen served as the Chair for the Windsor-Essex Chapter of Professional Engineers Ontario for two terms and was inducted as a Member of the Order of Honour of the Professional Engineers of Ontario in 2003. He is currently the Chair of the PEO Awards Nominating Committee. [He has raised funds and organizes fairs for the Windsor Regional Science, Technology and Engineering Fair Committee for the past 20 years.]
Stephen served as the President of the Essex County Chinese Canadian Association from 2002 to 2004. The changes initiated during his term of office have contributed greatly to the development of the Association.
